Back again, back again, got a race every weekend.

Two great things happened last weekend racing in Phoenix.  One, the team tactics my team planned played out perfectly.  This was amazing to me as I have been racing solo on the road until now.  Maggie told me exactly when to attack; I attacked which lead to a two-woman break; the break stuck because we both had teammates down the road; I got my ass handed to me in the sprint.  Anyways, it was fun.

The second great thing was that the new doggie is now an official race doggie.  Hayduke threw up in the car on the way to the race, but other than that, he did great and everyone loved him.  Including the race photographer…

If those aren’t cute enough, here are some more pictures of GW Hayduke.

  Doggeh

I was going to dress him up in pink with lots of ribbons and get him a pedicure, but he just doesn’t seem like that kind of dog…

At least he doesn’t have to wear a cone any more.  That was a pain in the ass.

This coming weekend, it’s time for a good ol’ fashioned 24 Hour Race in the Old Pueblo.  Last time I did this race, it rained the whole time, and I quit before 5pm.  This year, we have a four “man” team - officially the ArcVelo Corporate Team…unofficially “Three Men and a Lady.”  I’ll be sure to post some pictures of racing and revelry.
