Athlete Octane
Every Word! February 23rd, 2009Looking for a little liquid endurance? Well, I have just the solution for you.
Athlete Octane is one of the new sponsors of my team this year. Not only is it delicious and nutritious, it really works. Here is a short description of the product from the site:
Maybe it is better to start by telling you what it isn’t, Athlete Octane™ is not an energy drink; It is not an energy Gel; We are not an electrolyte replacement. Athlete Octane™ is a powerful collection of nutrients that help to neutralize the free-radical damage to your body brought on by the stress of exercise. It works on the cellular level. Then we package it in liquid form for the best possible absorption. A portion of the exhaustion and soreness all athletes report is due to, on a cellular level, energy production systems being overwhelmed and free-radical damage to their body. Our system is simple, rather than taking a hand full of supplemental pills each day our athletes take 1 ounce of liquid. Taken daily athletes will notice
- Reduced recovery time
- Faster gains in fitness
- Increase exercise tolerance
- Greater endurance
- Improved performance
- Reduced soreness
- Huge savings
I have been using Athlete Octane for over a month now, and not only do I feel like Superwomen, I’m starting to look more and more like Halle Berry everyday.
Ok, well maybe not…but Athlete Octane works really well. I definitely feel healthier overall, and I have more energy. But don’t take my word for it, try Athlete Octane yourself!
Next up, I have a nitty-gritty behind-the-scenes report of the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo race last weekend. No, I was not racing, I was crewing. Believe me, drinking beer, stoking the fire, and trying to stay up all night “helping the racers” is waaayyy harder than racing. More to come soon!

Do the nitty gritty behind the scenes work have to do with sleeping in until 7?
Or is it all the great food that you cooked.
And the chamois cream applications?

I hear several of the athletes involved in the 24-hour race suffered mysterious mechanicals during crucial night laps. Do you have a comment?
